"I’m a gay man, but I also PERFORM as a drag queen. I hang my thigh high stilettos black boots right next to my high top sneakers for when I’m at the leather bar. I store my gowns right next to my leather chest harness and latex singlet. My silver metal bracelets go right next to my handcuffs, and my earrings right next to my leather collar.I don’t identify as either masculine or feminine, because I personally think it’s all bullshit."

The term forniphilia was coined by bondage artist Jeff Gord[2][3] who specialized in the subgenre and maintained the website "House of Gord" on the subject.[4] Forniphilia as a form of bondage usually involves the subject being tightly bound and expected to stay immobile for a prolonged period.[5] Subjects may be gagged – a forniphilic gag is a type of gag that has the primary purpose of sexual objectification or erotic humiliation. Subjects may also be placed in a position where there is a danger of being smothered. In many of Jeff Gord's human furniture creations, vibratorswere also used.[6] Proper safety requires frequent checks of the submissive's well-being.

LAVERIE
Laverie is a series of three images shot in a public launderette in Paris. We looked around for an empty (or nearly empty) launderette and found one quite close to Jourdain Metro station. Then we let rip with a series of ridiculous scenarios. On returning to London and seeing the images laid out in front of me, I devised a story - or perhaps more a bad joke - about a slave who tried to machine wash his master's leather uniform - only to end up being angrily machine washed himself. An element of the series was exhibited at Darklands in 2018, and then used as a front cover for the Paris fetish journal, Qweek.
